The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel and Suites Pittsburgh Downtown has been awarded one of the top workplaces by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and the Best Places to Work by the Pittsburgh Business Times. FRONT DESK

Security Officer (part-time) – The Security Officer is responsible for patrolling and monitoring the hotel.  Duties include key maintenance and assisting the Front Desk.  Other duties as assigned.  Must have at least one-year experience in a Security position.  Must have excellent customer service skills and have the ability to lift, push and carry up to 60 pounds.  Previous hotel/hospitality experience preferred but not necessary.  Must be able to work all shifts including the overnight shift.

 

RESTAURANT

Director of Food & Beverage – Responsible for revenue generation and cost controls, assisting with recruitment and selection of team members, staff training and development, scheduling, outlet image, operational procedures, food & beverage promotions and incentive programs, minimizing turnover rate and consistent enforcement of policies and procedures. Oversee restaurant, bar, room service, banquet, and kitchen departments. Personalized service in this operation is a priority.  Ideal candidate will have freestanding restaurant management experience for 3 years.  Must have knowledge of wines, spirits, and beers as well as some advertising and marketing.  Awareness of laws and guidelines established by the health department and liquor control board.  Must possess strong employee relation skills, oral and written communication, attention to detail planning and organizing as well as outstanding customer service skills.

 

Cook I – The line cook is responsible for prep work, portion control, garnishing and preparation of dishes according to standards set by the Executive Chef.  Must have previous cooking experience.

Banquet House Person – The Banquet House Person is responsible for set-up and breakdown of function areas for banquet meetings and functions.  Duties include but are not limited to moving furniture and maintaining a clean storeroom.   Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds throughout the shift, carry furniture, trays and boxes.  Must be able to push risers and chair carts.  Must be able to work all shifts and have excellent customer service skills.  Previous experience preferred but not required.

Banquet Server (part-time) – Must be willing to work all shifts – flexible hours.  Must possess qualities of a self-starter, quality focused, works well on own as well as with others, willing to do whatever is necessary to WOW our guests, assist other hotel departments when needed.  Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, reaching and bending also required.  Duties include setting up and servicing coffee breaks, plated and buffet meals and receptions.  Must have basic service knowledge and have worked in a service environment in the past (restaurant, bar, snack shop, retail).  Previous experience preferred but not required.

Room Service Attendant  (full-time) – Responsible for the delivery of room service items as well as responsibilities in the restaurant as a busser, other duties as assigned.  Candidates must have excellent customer service skills.  Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.  Must be able to work all shifts.  Previous food service experience preferred.

Restaurant  Server – Qualified candidates must have excellent customer service, sales, and food service skills.  Requires standing and walking throughout the shift.  Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, reaching and bending also required.   Must be available to work all shifts.  Previous food service experience required.
